I would like to extend a warm welcome to everyone
attending this year’s Dawson City International Short Film
Festival. In its 20th year, the festival and its success is a
testament to our community.
The Dawson City International Short Film Festival is a
chance to see unique films that you may not come across
in the mainstream media. I encourage everyone to ex-
plore the screenings, panel discussions and workshops.
With its focus on the best Yukon-made movies of the past 20 years, I
know this year’s lineup will be one not to miss.
My sincere thanks to the organizers and volunteers who put in the hard
work year round to ensure the success of the festival. Congratulations on
the 20th anniversary of the festival.
Sandy Silver
Premier
MLA for Klondike
As Minister of Economic Development I wish to
congratulate the Dawson City International Short Film
Festival on this, its 20th anniversary.
The Department of Economic Development is pleased
to support the Dawson City International Film Festival.
The workshops surrounding the festival provide an
opportunity for current and aspiring filmmakers to gain
skills, share ideas and develop professionally.
For the past 20 years, thousands of Yukoners have enjoyed the wide
variety of films this organization has curated and brought to the public.
I have no doubt this year will be another successful event.
