Currently, the District provides daily transportation for approximately 1,152 students. Bus routes are consistent with pick-up and drop-off times while our drivers continue to be personable and well liked by students. Safety is always our number one priority. According to the National Safety Council, yellow school busses are 172 times safer than the family automobile, and 8 times safer than passenger trains and airplanes. During the 2019/2020 school year, Transportation Services was able to complete upgrading front CNG fueling lines, including seven dual hose posts and added an option for one emergency quick fill station. Nutrition Services The Nutrition Services Department continues to participate in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs, and continues to remain self-sustaining. Department highlights (through April 2020) include the following: • 26.70% of total revenue is generated through federal and state reimbursement (through March 2020) • Served 844,382 lunches pre-COVID-19 • Served 102,800 breakfasts pre-COVID-19 42
