WVUSD: 2019/2020 Year-End Results
Fiscal Services has been charged with the responsibility of continuing the functions in the
Payroll Department so that all employees could continue receiving their pay. It has also
maintained the Accounting Department in order to address all payables and receivables.
Our Maintenance, Operations, Transportation, and Facilities (MOTF) Department has ensured
our grounds and buildings are maintained by attending to our fields and yards, repairing roofs
and leaks, and moving forward with all our deferred and routine maintenance projects.
Facilities
Projects promised under Measure WV continue to progress. Groundbreaking ceremonies at
both Collegewood Elementary and Diamond Bar High Schools were held to recognize the twostory
classroom and music building respectively. Various other projects throughout the District
continue to move forward and expended Bond funds totaled approximately $8M in 2020. The
Citizen’s Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) continued with its regular meetings to account for
and monitor all projects approved under the Bond Measure. The annual Financial and
Performance Audit conducted for the Bond fund reported all expenses were used as intended.
The passage of Measure WV has allowed for major capital improvements across the
District. Various projects using Bond proceeds, as well as other funding sources (e.g., Prop 39
funds, Deferred Maintenance funds, and One-Time funds), were completed and/or are in
progress for 2019/2020.

o Completed installation of new sound system in MPR
o Slurry seal/stripe parking lots and playgrounds summer 2020
o Paint existing parking lot with staff parking/add number at playgrounds
o Restripe existing kindergarten area/add bike track
o Installed new Valcom PA system with emergency bell
o Installed two new ramps at Fun Club
o Installed new awning at room 6
o Install pass thru doors at 2 nd grade wing
Bond Projects
o Completed installation of security cameras
