As the lights fade and the curtains close on 2018, I would
like to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of the
Technical Team. It has been an incredibly busy and reward-
ing year. The team have stepped up to run the vital light-
ing and sound aspects of the following school wide events:
Music Festival, Matariki, Opening Evening, House Choir,
Special Needs Concert, Talent Quest, HNPS Social and the
Year 11 Suffrage performance (I am sure I have missed a
few). This was no mean feat considering the majority of our
28 strong team were new year 9 and 10 members. As I see
sunlight for the first time in 5 years, I am happy to report that
the incoming 2019 technical team have excellent skills and
will continue to shine in the dark behind the scenes. I have
really appreciated the support and guidance of Mr Brebner
over this time. It has been an honour and privilege to lead the
tech team for the last three years.
