Living in campus is a whole other world and sharing a bathroom is a whole different story. In a way living on campus is an advantage because I have faster access to computers, Wi- Fi and helpful resources. The opportunity to live on campus has helped me grow as a social person in some ways. Sharing a Room with three other people motivates me to make new friends and not just staying in my own bubble.- Herminia
Living on campus is a whole other experience that I thought I would never have, especially in this way. Living with a stranger, having to buy your own food, doing your laundry with your own time, basically things that I’ m just not used to. My roommate was a stranger that I was trying to bond with at first, which wasn’ t going so well, but we ended up talking about our environments, interests, hobbies, differences, and etc. The room itself was a huge change since I’ m used to bigger spaces( restroom) and a bigger bed. Preparing for college this way has actually made me more comfortable with it; at first I didn’ t think this way, then I started to accept it in a positive way and I got used to it in a way. Although I would like to have a home to go to everyday; I suppose that getting used to this environment could make me more comfortable to deal with other situations.- Izabella
Living with someone else has been really fun, it’ s nice to have someone to talk too. Also my roommate is my best friend and cousin. She a really nice clean person so I got lucky to have the opportunity to room with her.- Jackie
It is like actually being in college because we have to share a room with someone, we have a scheduled time to eat and to sleep, and also we go to classes. Yes so I will know what to do and when to do it, I won’ t be so home sick, also I won’ t be scared about being away from my family.- Jalisa
It is fun to live in campus, especially when you know the people that live around you. The experience has made me comfortable about going to college, because now I know that I can live on my own. Although, I really miss my family, I call them on the phone every night.- Jared
What is it like living on campus? It’ s really fun. I really like everything and the whole experience is great. Has this experience made you more comfortable about going away for college? Yes definitely. I feel like I won’ t be as scared to go away now.- Jennifer
I really enjoy and feel comfortable around my roommate and we both have a lot in common, so we get along really well together. Me and him have no challenges, we both get along really well so we usually are always having good moments. I have learned that I will struggle a lot to wake up on time because he is always keeping an eye out for me and waking me up when I accidentally oversleep.- Josue
When I found out I was going to live on campus for the next few weeks I felt different since I did not know who was going to be my roommate. Now that I found out who it was I felt more relieve because this summer’ s roommate was chill as well as my last roommate from last summer in 2016. Now that I experienced in what is like living in campus I feel more confident into going away for college and to stay there, now that I know what it feels like going away from home.- Martin
Campus life is not that hard. I have gotten lost only once since we started! Sure, it’ s big, but there are lots of ways to remember where you are and where you are going. On the sidewalks there are large blue signs, and it shows you where to go.-Nate
Living the dorms can be a bit hectic sometimes, but fun also. The girls are really nice and don’ t mind sharing at times. The real college kids mind their own business, they don’ t really pay much attention to us. Getting to class can be long, but I don’ t the mind the exercise. The dorms can get noisy and crowded, but the RA’ s do a good job of keeping us all in one piece. This experience is very comforting when I’ m thinking about going to college because it gives me an idea of what I’ m going to be experiencing in real college. I’ m very happy to be here because this means I’ m an extra step ahead of the game.- Ocean
Living on campus has been an awesome experience. To be completely honest I have been already wanting to live somewhere else and be kind of on my own for a little bit. I like that I can be responsible and independent based since I’ ve been living here in the dorms on campus. My mom and dad rarely text me which actually really surprises me. I like not having to exactly worry about too much like I normally do. So, the experience of me living here has been really fun and I enjoy it a lot.- Veronica
