Preparation for the Convocation
Sunday (July 2), lunch and dinner Monday (July 3), and a
box lunch Tuesday (July 4). Breakfasts are not included in
the price of registration.
• While the Convocation takes place mostly at the Hyatt
Regency Conference Center, meals will be served in the
Orange County Convention Center’s West Building,
accessible to the Hyatt Regency by a covered sky bridge
(about a ten-minute walk). The West Building is also con-
nected directly (via sky bridge) to the Rosen Plaza Hotel
and the Rosen Centre Hotel.
• The Convocation will include a lot of walking (between
plenary and breakout sessions, meals, liturgies, and hotel
accommodations), so please pack comfortable shoes. Take
necessary breaks and pace yourself throughout the event.
• The attire for the Convocation is business casual.
• If you booked through the Convocation registration sys-
tem, you will be staying at one of the five main hotels near
the central Convocation activities: The Hyatt Regency
Orlando (9801 International Drive); the Rosen Plaza
Hotel (9700 International Drive); the Rosen Centre Hotel
(9840 International Drive); the Hilton Orlando (6001
Destination Parkway); and the Rosen Shingle Creek (9939
Universal Boulevard). Shuttle buses will run between
these properties in the morning and evening hours. There
are also sky bridges between some of these locations.
• Transportation options (and in many cases, tickets and
passes) to Orlando events and attractions are available
in the lobby areas of all hotels. There is also a special
“I-Drive” trolley shuttle that is available (for an extra fee,
though some hotels offer complementary passes); the
schedule for these shuttles can be found online or at the
concierge service desk in hotel lobbies.
• Restaurants are available north and south of the confer-
ence center area on International Drive, a number within
