PW Representative’ s Responsibilities
Even though we are just beginning the year and the tournament season is a ways off, it is time to start preparing for the 2017 Team Play Championship. As the PWGA representative, you are very important to your club in making this a successful event.
The road to the Team Play Championship consists of three phases:
1. Select your club team- Your club has the opportunity to field a team of four players – two sets of partners.
2. Participate in your Area Team Qualifier- Your Area Director will conduct an Area Qualifying Tournament from which a certain number of winning teams will emerge to play in the Championship.( The number of teams advancing to the Championship is proportionate to the number of teams from your area planning on participating in the Area qualifier.)
3. Compete at Team Play Championship- The Team Play Championship will consist of 32 teams and will be held at The Links at Bodega Harbour September 13-14, 2017.
I have put together a packet which contains the following: 1. Intent to Field a Team( Form # 1) 2. Selection of Team Notification( Form # 2) 3. Substitution Policy letter 4. Are Qualifying Guidelines and General Information.
You will receive information from your Area Director with details about the Qualifying Round to be held in your area.
