The service“ Christ We Do All Adore Thee” will relate the story and impact of Christ- the central figure of the Lenten period. A special Lenten service of communion will close the evening as a tribute to and remembrance of Jesus Christ.
On Sunday, April 2nd at 7 PM, a dramatic portrayal of Christ’ s final eight days on earth will be presented at the chapel. Within the stone walls of this historic chapel, amid the glow of candles and oil lamps, a musical violin recital beginning at 6:50 PM will prepare your hearts for the journey to the cross.
Follow Christ from Bethany, to Jerusalem, and to Calvary. To guide you in His footsteps to the cross will be Bartholomew, the disciple, and Joseph of Arimathea as they reflect on the events of those last eight days and the people who played a part in His final days.
Joining Bartholomew and Joseph of Arimathea on this journey to the cross will be Teresa Martin and Mark Beall who are well-known in the area for their vocal and musical talents.
The outstanding musical skills of violinist Taylor Goodrich will enhance the emotions and drama of the last eight days of His life here on earth. Because of the nature of this program, it will run a bit longer than a normal worship service.
