The Society of St Vincent de Paul (SVDP) in Waterloo is made up of
volunteers whose work includes providing emergency 3-5 day supplies of
nonperishable food items to those in need. In the last year alone the
volunteers of SVDP provided over $156,000 in direct financial aid to keep
families in their homes with the lights on, distributed over $125,000 in
clothing, furniture and household necessities and distributed 175,000 food
items to those in need locally. All of their services are provided at no cost
to the client.
