Early Achievement Award
Mandeep Rai, CPA, CA
Mandeep was admitted to membership in 2009 and is currently the Chief Financial Officer
at Sprott Mining Inc., a growing mid-tier North American gold producer headquartered in
Toronto.
Mandeep began his career at Deloitte LLP in the Audit and Assurance practice where he
provided services to many of the province’s publicly listed companies. In December of
2010, he joined San Gold Corporation, a gold production company listed on the Toronto
Stock Exchange, as Corporate Controller. He was the project leader during the company’s
transition to International Financial Reporting Standards. In March of 2014, he was
promoted to Chief Financial Officer and led the company through significant restructuring
initiatives.

In the community, Mandeep volunteers at Macdonald Youth
Services as a member of the Board of Directors and
Infrastructure Committee and with the Kidney Foundation
of Canada – Manitoba Branch as a member of the Finance
Committee. Within the profession, Mandeep contributes
as a member of the CPA Manitoba High School Scholarship
Selection Committee and is currently involved with Financial
Executives International Canada as a member of the
Winnipeg Chapter’s Board.
