Early Achievement Award
Jonathan Murray, CPA, CA
Jonathan was admitted to membership in 2009 and is the Chief Financial Officer of the
Genesis Hospitality Partnership which is headquartered in Brandon, Manitoba. Genesis
Hospitality owns ten hotels across Manitoba and Ontario.
Since starting with Genesis Hospitality in early 2016, Jonathan has been evaluating
potential acquisitions and franchise opportunities with the primary goal of growing the
company.
Previously, Jonathan worked as a Controller at T.L. Penner Construction, Tax Manager for
BDO Canada and as a Senior Accountant for KPMG.
He has also been a champion for the community of Brandon
where he has served on the Provincial Advisory Board for
the Heart and Stroke Foundation and Brandon Crime
Stoppers. He is currently a member of the Prairie
Mountain Health Region board.
