Second Grade Performs "A Letter To Lincoln"
By Anna Peterson
The second grade did a Readers' Theater class play titled "A Letter To Lincoln," for family and friends. It was about a little girl who wrote a letter to Abraham Lincoln telling him that if he grew a beard, he would win the presidential election. Mrs. Indahl was impressed with the students acting, but most of all how they read fluently and with facial expression.
The class also made 3D models of landforms and bodies of water and then painted them. In math the students are learning about telling time and counting money. For science they are learning about weather and are even going to make it rain and watch the water cycle in an experiment.
