Celebrate the Magic of Disney at Dinner Theater

By Kellie Jones

The middle school students, with the help of teachers, held a dinner theater on February 16. Every year the students have a different theme to perform. The theme this year was "Night of Disney."

At the dinner theater, the students serve their guests supper. While the guests are eating the middle school students perform a show of singing, dancing, and lots of fun. The students sang a wide array of songs that include "Heigh-Ho" from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs; "Zip-a-dee-doo-dah" from Song of the South; "Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo" from Cinderella; "Cruella de Ville" from 101 Dalmatians; "Hakuna Matata" from The Lion King; "Supercalifrigilisticexpialidocious" from Mary Poppins; "Bare Necessities" from The Jungle Book; "Mickey Mouse March" from Mickey Mouse Club; and "You've got a Friend in Me" from Toy Story.

"It was interesting and uncomfortable," said Ari Goitia.

"I think that we did good, but there were areas we could have been better and made it really hilarious. Like when Tye picked up Piper for example, it was great," said Jasmine Klein.

"I think we did good and they had good food," commented Laney Spencer.

"The more you like yourself, the less you are like anyone else, which makes you unique."
