Wednesday Tween Times
For ages 8-13. All programs start at 2 p. m.
Star Martial Arts- June 15 from 2 to 3 p. m. See martial arts demonstrated by owner / instructor Ben Pedrick and his students. Hear about the life long benefits of martial arts, learn some self-defense moves and enjoy a few games.
Relay Play- June 22 from 2 to 3 p. m. Have you ever raced with a jumbo ostrich egg on a spoon? Team up to play some fun games with a common theme: RELAYS.
Amazing Animal Athletes- June 29 from 2-3:30 p. m. Try your own animal feats, create an amazing animal craft, and explore animal adaptations to fill in your“ Passport”. Presented by the Welty Environmental Center.
Brain Games- July 13 from 2-4:30 p. m. Learn the basics of some popular board games such as chess, checkers, backgammon, Scrabble and more. Munch on some snacks, hang out and exercise your brain.
Juice Your Veggies!- July 20 from 2-3:30 p. m. Maggie Finley, health coach and ambassador for the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, shares the benefits of fruits and vegetables, the healthy advantages of a juicing lifestyle, and demonstrates juicing. Create some delicious beverages for yourself.
Hip Hop Hurray!- July 27 from 2 to 3 p. m. See a hip hop demonstration by dancers and instructors from Miss Andrea’ s Dance Factory and learn some cool moves.
Storytimes
Discovery Storytimes from June 1-July 27 Wednesdays at 10 a. m., repeating at 11 a. m. For kids 6 and younger. Stories, songs and new friends. Siblings welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Bilingual storytimes on June 22 and July 27. NO storytimes on July 6.

Family Fun Days
For kids ages 12 and younger and their families. Attend a Family Fun Day to enter a prize drawing!
Game Day- Thursday June 16 from 2-3:30 p. m. Drop in for fun with“ choose-your-own” activities and games.
Smarty Pants- Friday June 24 at 2 p. m. The Smarty Pants Balloon Olympics is coming to the library this summer. Kids will become part of the summer games featuring magic, comedy and legendary giant balloons.
Kung Fu Panda- Thursday June 30 at 2 p. m. Spend the afternoon watching this animated martial-arts movie.
Beloit Bombshells- Thursday July 14 at 6:30 p. m. Meet members of the Beloit Bombshells Roller Derby Team, learn about roller derby rules, see a live demo and celebrate women in sports!
Healthy Beats- Friday July 22 at 2 p. m. With singer / songwriter Laura Doherty. This upbeat, interactive concert will have kids singing and dancing along to catchy folk-pop tunes that focus on being active and eating healthy.
Miss Andrea’ s Dance Factory- July 28 at 2 p. m. Get your feet moving, learn some basic dance skills and enjoy a live demo with some of Miss Andrea’ s students.
Lockerpalooza
Wednesday, August 3 from 1-3 p. m. For Tweens ages 8 to 13 and High Schoolers. If you have a school locker, come make stuff to customize it! All materials will be provided.
June & July Reading Road Show! The library will be visiting the park programs, city camp, Y-Camp, Boys & Girls Club and Even Start during the weeks of June 26, July 10, and July 24.
