PINK POLO IN THE PARK

The splendid surroundings of the All Ireland Polo Club hosted Pink Polo in the Park on Friday September 11th 2015. Taking place in aid of Breast Cancer Ireland, Pink Polo in the Park introduced guests to a selection of Irish players who took on a Canadian Team to support pioneering breast cancer research and awareness programmes nationwide. Norah Casey, Leigh Arnold, Caroline Sleiman, Norman Pratt and Alan Lewis stepped out at the All Ireland Polo Club in the Phoenix Park to show their support for Breast Cancer Ireland.
A pink prosecco reception kicked off proceedings at the All Ireland Polo Club which was soon followed by a sumptuous three course luncheon prepared and served by the team from Tinakilly House. After the lunch and an auction, MC for the afternoon Gavin Duffy announced the rules of polo for all novice supporters in attendance and everyone was invited outside to cheer on the teams. Ireland made sure that the rain did not spoil the guests’ day as they emerged victorious in a thrilling 7-5 win over Canada in a fast-paced and exciting show of horsemanship. Throughout the afternoon, TV personalities and stylists Darren Kennedy and Cathy O’ Connor judged the Best Dressed Competition which was won by Naomi Mulderry and Eoin Likely who each received prizes from Harvey Nichols, Louis Copeland and Ireland’ s Blue Book. Pink Polo in the Park was a fitting end to the summer polo season and helped raise € 27,775 for Breast Cancer Ireland.
