Brain Aneurysm Foundation With over 3 billion people online around the world, we decided to grow our awareness and educational reach in 2016 through social media and our website. The brain aneurysm community has rewarded our efforts. Engagement on our Facebook page is higher than any other organization dedicated to brain aneurysms. 35,000 people viewed our simple graphic brain aneurysm awareness post. It had 2,000 post clicks and over 1,500 reactions – now that’s awareness! Celebrity chef Mario Batali became an active supporter of the foundation’s #1in50 campaign. In 2016 awareness billboards dotted the landscape. The response on Facebook sparked our community to begin the grassroots #1in50 campaign. Over 13,000 people reacted to our guest blogger Katrina McCarty’s post. Our community engaged in a robust discussion on our Facebook page and the post exceeded 2,500 reactions and comments! 8
