The boys varsity basketball team has started off well this season, very well in fact. At the time of this writing on December 7th, they are undefeated with a 6-0 record, having last knocked off Timpson by a 26 point margin. They have been trouncing the competition by victory margins in the 20 and 30 point range, with the lone exception being a 1 point victory over the much larger Diboll high school at Diboll. PCA has had a big push this year from Juniors Michael Williams, averaging 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks per game, MaRozzney House with 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 steals per game, and Jace Walker with 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals per game. Sophomores Kellen Kruck, 8 points and 6 rebounds per game, and Daniel Thurman, 5 rebounds per game, add in a big boost especially in the rebounding department. With a shift
in district
this year,
seeing the
departure of
last years
champions,
San
Augustine, the future looks very bright for PCA's Timberwolves. The next home game will be December 20th against Carlisle. District play starts with an away game on January 13th in West Sabine.
