Kayla Meier Forensic Anthropology Class of 2017 Iridescent Wings Ever since I was young, I watched hummingbirds from my kitchen window every spring as they came for the sugar water my mother placed in a feeder for them. Hummingbirds have always been one of my favorite animals, but I am always in awe of their ferocity and protectiveness of their territory.
