False Nature
How my heart wants to feel content,
With every beautiful day that is spent,
Laying on hammocks under the trees,
The warm sun coupled with the cool breeze
How wonderful the feeling that is consistency
The world is in sync and that feeling flows into me
Bringing us together with intimacy,
However this euphoria is not reality.
In reality the climate is fickle,
Sometimes the stream rushes, sometimes it trickles
The searing heat and the freezing rain
Fills my heart not with content- but pain
How will I ease this feeling in my heart?
How can we resist climate change?
Everyone must contribute and do their part,
Then truly, under that wondrous weather, our memories we shall exchange.
