During my Au Pair year, I met my best friend too. Her name is Carolin. We met on an Au Pair evening that was organized by iST. After the event we sang Britney Spears’ “Hit me baby on more time” in the nearest karaoke bar. We are friends ever since. We travelled through England, painted the town red and queued at both Harry Potter premieres. Being an Au Pair is not all about working it is about creating memories for life.
Retrospectively, my Au Pair year was an experience worth it! It builds confidence, strength, interpersonal relationships and created unforgettable memories. My only advice: If you plan on going abroad as an Au Pair, please organize it through an agency that serves as contact in your country of choice. And do not forget to be a responsible, caring and supporting Au Pair as well as having fun and creating memories that are always worth remembering! :)

Once your application was successful you will receive an e-mail with all contact details of the family and you can start to get in touch.
Both, you and the host family, have to confirm to your
agency that you like to work together.
You will receive a written confirmation
when its cut and dried.
Once the placing was successful
iST charges you a small placing fee of 195,- €.
Here is a small advice at the end: Before you head abroad please check whether your passport is valid and you have sufficient health insurance, liability insurance as well as casualty insurance coverage.
Now there is only one thing left to say:
Enjoy! It is worth it!! :)
Hey Boys! An Au Pair does not have to be female! :)
