Calm and safe. The staff, students, and families at Roosevelt
believe that students learn the most when they feel safe.
This is why at Roosevelt, we do not allow fighting or bullying
on or around campus. Come visit to see how calm and
quiet our school is! College preparation. We have adopted
SpringBoard, a curriculum designed by the company that
created the SATs. SpringBoard pushes your child’s academic
limits and will prepare him or her for college. Career
preparation. At Roosevelt, we are thinking about how to
prepare your child for the workforce. For the first time in our
school’s history, we will be developing a program around
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). We will
ensure that your child is prepared for higher levels of math,
and she or he will have opportunities to compete in math,
science, and engineering competitions. Fun for students.
We want our students to love school because we believe
that having fun is an important part of being a teenager.
That’s why we have dances, field trips, Spirit Week, a student
council, band, art, and sports! Partnerships with families. We
are committed to making sure that families are welcome and
that they are part of creating a top school for their children.
We have several opportunities for families to get involved.
Also, we have staff members who speak Spanish, Cantonese,
Khmer, and Vietnamese. Call us at 510-535-2877 to arrange
a visit!
