Madison Middle School stands out for many reason. We are
one of the District’s models of a Full-Service Community
School, which means we have the capacity to meet the
needs of every child and family that comes to Madison. We
have the highest API score out of all the middle schools in
East Oakland, at 722 in 2011. We have produced measurable
results with our students of color and our student athletes.
We host an extended day model, which engages our stude nts
in active learning from 8:00am to 3:45pm. We also house an
amazing afterschool program, from 3:45pm to 6:00pm, which
includes academic support and enrichment opportunities.
Madison has a school-based health clinic on campus and
one computer for each student in each classroom. If you are
looking for a campus that supports the needs of the whole
child and families, complete with an exceptional educational
experience and consistently strong staff, Madison is the
campus for you. Madison Campus is opening a ninth
grade in the fall of 2013. We will add a high school grade
level each year until we reach our first graduating class of
2017! Students will have the opportunity to complete A-G
curriculum making them eligible for admission into the UC
system. High school level students will also be exposed to
courses in both business and arts in order to support college
and career readiness.
