This is the first time a Havelock NorthHigh School group
has undertaken a South Island expedition and will
hopefully pave the way for more intrepid journeys in year
to come. Another group of last year’s Silver students
completed their final expedition by trekking the Tongariro

year. The group (accompanied by Mrs Gertsch) had
travelled to Vietnam and Laos as part of a World
Challenge expedition. The expedition lasted for 28 days
and involved trekking, community service and shopping.
