This is the first time ever that we have had enough Y9 girls
available to play in Term 1 competition. Results were rather
disappointing with only one win against Woodford 4. However it is hoped that playing these games will set them up for
more success when their league begins in Term 4.
Boys A: HBSS League-2nd place P:12 W:9 L:3 Sets for:23

A big squad made it difficult for coach Jess Gates to give
everyone equal court time and still get a positive result.
Without NBHS and HBHS playing, the standard was a little
disappointing but we were definitely tested by Taradale and
a rapidly improving Lindisfarne.
HBPB Champs-5th place. With Napier Boys, Hastings
Boys and Gisborne Boys all attending this tournament the
standard went up some serious levels. Despite this the boys
acquitted themselves extremely well and played 6
