NISS Champs After the ECNISS championships, 7 HNHS athletes were included in the ECNISS team to travel to the NISS champs held in Masterton. Georgia Hulls starred with a 100m/200m double victory as well as wins in the 4 x 100m and 4 x 400m. Tim Keip also made it to the podium, finishing 3rd in the 100m and 4th in his favoured event, the 200m. Georgia Rathbone ran 4th in the 100m, 5th in the 200m, and 6th in the high jump and was in the winning relay team. Natalya Taylor finished 4th in the javelin, and Jenna Tidswell finished 5th in the 1500m, 7th in the 800m and 8th in the javelin. Kayla Redman and Emily Young were others in the team. Y9/10 Relays For the second year in a row, HNHS dominated the inter school relays, winning all six girls events. It was truly a star studded school girls’ team. The boys had an opportunity in both the discus and long jump, but a non-counting third person made the job too hard.
