School Services It is a pressure role being in charge of the social evening of the school year. Namely “THE BALL”. After a little bit of too and fro getting venues, theme, numbers and menu’s we settled on the 14th of June. Not to make it too easy on ourselves we also thought we could add the challenge of a full dinner before the ball as well. “A Night in Greece” was set- but only after we had to deal with the disappointment of students hoping to dance to John Travolta and Olivia Newton John! Our special high light of the leavers dinner were presentations and speeches of thanks by students to Mr Barrett , Coombes and McEntee and a fantastic vale dictorian speech by James Rickman. Thanks to all members of the committee who did their bit to make this a great year. The School Services Committee worked as a brilliant team to produce a great evening. It is a true stress event for Mr Kitchin as teacher in charge and he was thankful to a great committee, the junior premier netball team, Mr Fullwood, parent teacher helpers , “ the techies” , adventure racing dads on the buses and great staff for all the work they did. Since the ball School Services has gone on to help with Spring Fair, organise the leavers hoodies and of course the leavers dinner following YR13 prize giving.
