KID’ S CORNER
Meeting new people can be a scary thing for many people but the outcome is unpredictable. The person that we meet might end up being our best friends or our enemies. In my case, getting to know the Venus people was out of my comfort zone, but now I have many great friends that I love and care about so much. We are now so close, we trust each other, and we know that there’ s always someone there when needed. We love to hangout and prank people, whether it’ s between our own little group or girls from the program. My Venus girl friends have taught me how to value the moment when we meet a new person because we never know how important that person may end up being in our lives.- Itzel Morales
This is my first year attending the summer program at UTA. When my parents dropped me off, I felt sad and a bit lonely. I’ m still adjusting to it and trying to make it feel like home. Moving in and organizing the dorms was a great college experience. I felt like a college student, so grown up! The activities have been fun and I’ m excited for the rest of the time here.- Diana Ramirez
