2013 was a great year for athletics in the school. The arrival of a talented bunch of Year 9 girls, spearheaded by Georgia Hulls saw the school win many titles. NZSS Championships 2012 Held in Dunedin, a small team headed south including a couple of road race teams. Most successful were the Year 9 girls who finished sixth in the 3 person teams race. Abbey Cullen, Libby Ford and Hope-Eloise Every were team members. The junior boys’ team also acquitted themselves well with a creditable eighth in a large field in the teams event. Sean Morrison, Daniel Way and Callum Wilkie were team members. Best in the stadium were Savannah Dalzell (senior triple jump) and Emily Gallagher (Intermediate high jump) who both finished eleventh.
