Wolfe belongs to online groups for parents of children with special needs, and she is very involved with the Mary ThereseRose Fund. The fund was established in honor and then in memory of the daughterofone of Sydney’ s physical therapists. Mary ThereseRose passed away in 2003 from Joubert syndrome, arare disease. The fund pays for therapies and equipment that insurance doesn’ t cover for childrenwho need it, and they have afundraiser each October.
Wolfe has aB. S. and M. A. in early childhoodeducation and was akindergarten teacher before she had children. My Holly cameout in 2011, and Wolfe is grateful that the book has been well received and is helping other families cope with adifficult situation. In fact, she was so pleased with the reception that the first book has gotten that she has written asecond entitled My Jack, which is written from Sydney’ s( or Holly’ s) point of view. ●
