PLANNING A PARTY? Tips from Hannah Choi to create your very own circus-themed birthday. 1. Use a popcorn box in various ways. We added actual popcorn into the mini popcorn paper boxes for decoration but, in addition, we used white carnation flowers in the plastic popcorn boxes as centerpieces for the table (which looked like popcorn). It added a nice elegant touch to the party. 2. Make matching favors for the kids. Instead of using a regular bag to hold the party favors, try using a big popcorn box as the packaging and making a thank you name tag to look like a ticket or a raffle ticket. 3. Pick desserts that work with the theme. Incorporate the different foods that you would typically see at a circus, like popcorn, peanuts and candy. 4. Balloons. Balloons. Balloons. We loved using the extra-large balloons to add character to the party.
