Micro Local Business Enterprise ( Micro LBE ) subcontractor on the SFO Courtyard 3 Connector Terminal Project . Streamline provided essential services to ensure the project ’ s success .
“ We have completed approximately $ 1.2 million in drywall scope since starting in 2020 , when the CDP ’ s Contractor Accelerated Payment Program ( CAPP ) helped us get our foot in the door ,” says Triston Dion , Principal of Streamline Drywall . “ We are scheduled for more work on another phase in 2025 with NGI and McCarthy .” Streamline ’ s work consisted of light gauge metal stud framing , exterior sheathing , and interior gypsum board .
At the time of the initial project , Triston said he was happy to participate in a grand vision for the future through SFO ’ s Principles of REACH ( Revenue Enhancement and Customer Hospitality ).
In 2015 , another CDP client , R & S Construction , had three weeks to renovate the security barrier surrounding San Francisco Internation Airport .
“ The project manager knew my work and trusted me to keep my promises ,” says R & S Construction RMO / CEO / President Matthew Ramirez . “ Everything from doing the work to getting through the inspection went well because we worked collaboratively .”
Pilot Construction Management Inc . has been particularly active at SFO . Over the past two decades , the company has worked on more than 30 projects at the airport on contracts totaling more than $ 50 million . Some of the larger projects included a fire alarm system upgrade , a Coast Guard rolling gate replacement , a facility tanks upgrade , and the Superbay Hangar Fire Suppression Foam System Retrofit .
“ Our work at the airport has mostly been industrial and mechanical upgrades ,” says Lina Tan , President of Pilot Construction Management . “ But the important thing is that the airport gave us the foundation to take on bigger projects . We also got help from the CDP to secure a bond loan guarantee on a $ 3.6 million project there .”
Lina also lauded the engineer and others at SFO , saying they are collaborative and easy to work with as a team . “ I would say the airport is my second home ,” she added .
MWIS has played a key role in the success of the airport as well . In 1995 , SFO identified barriers that were precluding small and local contractors from bidding on the newly planned International Terminal . In response , MWIS created and introduced the Surety Bond Program ( SBP )
