Tshwane Filmmakers Movement is a program specially designed and powered by Mahlalela
Entertainment Production and other private skate holders who want to bring opportunities, skills,
knowledge and experience to the youth of Tshwane. The program aims to up-skill and empower
youth of Tshwane with skills and knowledge to work in the entertainment and multimedia space or
open up their businesses to create more opportunities of jobs and other businesses.
The movement will be speared by Mahlalela Entertainment Production and it will primarily
specialise with youth interested in producing dramas, films, TVC, music videos and other audio-
visual products.
The programs aims to be officially launched on the 22 nd of March 2018 and commence on the 2 nd
of April 2018. We won’t be just equipping the youth who are interested but also help them to do
their audio-visual projects. What makes it more unique and outstanding is that we will be hosting
awards for our very own artists to honour and appreciate their efforts after every fiscal year.
The program will consist of Saturday master classes and workshops. If demanded we might do
even during the week evening master classes. We won’t be just teaching audio-visual,
photography, cinematography, graphic and etc… but also film business so that they fully
understand and clearly under what to expect when they test the waters within the industry.
