Months into the coronavirus
pandemic, the outbreak has
ravaged people and economies
worldwide, transforming
traditional supply chains and normal day-today
operations. The fallout from the outbreak
has also disrupted the standard internship
model. In the era of remote work and lockdown
order the normal learning experience has been
delayed and turning upside down.
Since the extension of the Movement Control
Order (MCO), students preparing for internship
placements and currently completing the
program are stuck in limbo, fearing that their
journey to graduation and jobs may come to
an unfortunate end due to the pandemic of
COVID-19.
Although many internships programs may
face revocation in the midst of the pandemic,
few media companies and businesses have
forward, offering something else they never
attempted before virtual internships.
