SUN'S ANGEL and Frank Roper of Winter Gar
den, Florida had what it takes in this class as
they swept all three first-place votes on the way
to a great victory. This veteran showman rode
his horse on the rail capturing the judges’ eyes
in all three gaits. The reserve award went to
SUN’S HEART OF GOLD with Russell Waggoner
of Kingsport the rider. Ralph Lovett was a
mighty happy man after tying third aboard MACK
K’S SECOND STORY. Finishing just behind the
first three was GREY SON and T. H. Lynch. The
first four winners in this class emphasize the
wide geographic range of winners at the Celebra
tion with horses from Florida, Tennessee, Ken
tucky and Virginia finishing in that order.
