that is doing well at Babb-Womble . Jim has an operating junior mare , STATELY ’ S LACE , that is out of the same mare as SUN ’ S BIG SHOT . She is special and
one look at her at work explains why . Jim and Bob hope to have everything running smoothly by next show season . They plan to sell several horses that have been shown successfully this past year . They encourage all horsemen to visit their new operation , and they feel they can find just about any kind of horse for you buyers .

FROM SACRAMENTO TO KINGSPORT AND BACK California Enthusiasts Leave One . . . Pick Up Two !
It is difficult for people who do not have enthusiasm for Tennessee Walking Horses to understand why horsemen push themselves the way they do . Consider the recent case of Mearl Brown of Sacramento , who traveled all the way to Kingsport , Tennessee , to leave a show mare with John T . Carter , and then went through Middle Tennessee to pick up two colts before going back to the West Coast . He says it was worthwhile !
The mare he left with Mr . Carter is the 1969 West Coast Champion Mare of the recent Northern California Celebration . She is INVASION ’ S CHOICE and , according to John T ., she is a top mare . She was brought to him as a juvenile horse and by spring should be ready to take on just about any competitor . She is for sale !
Mearl Brown left the Carter Stables and drove to Shelbyville to pick up two yearlings from Stallion Stables . One is by JOHNNY MIDNIGHT and the other is by TRIPLE THREAT . They plan to show them next year on the West Coast .
It was a long trip . . . about five thousand miles . . . but not unlike the long journeys that Walking Horse enthusiasts take annually in pursuit of their interests .
