TENNESSEE STATE COLT SHOW FEATURES TOP PROSPECTS The Second Annual Tennessee State Colt Show did what many thought was impossible - it improved upon the initial show held last year. Sponsored by the Tennessee State Colt Show, Inc., this fine show for the future prospects of the breed has served to stimulate interest in selective breeding, while pro viding owners an opportunity to exhibit their stock against the best competition. The six judges selected to tie the classes did a commendable job and worked hard to afford the best possible look at the horses being shown. At times this made the show drag to a degree, but the crowd and the exhibitors realized the need for such close scrutiny. The three judges for each class were de termined by the spin of the wheel. Serving as judges were Charles Brantley, George Henson, Hall McNabb, Hodge Jordan, Walker Limbaugh, and Milton Alex ander. The announcer for the show was Bob Jennings of Nashville, Tennessee. Bob is one of the most well- liked announcers in the South and he again did his typical outstanding job. The music was in the cap able care of Jimmy Richardson and his traveling organ. Any show that can get Jimmy to play can rest assured they have the best The attendance figures and the bulging entry list emphasize the growth this show has experienced in just two years. Already many horse lovers interested in colts are looking forward to next year’s show. The future for this show is bright indeed, and it is refreshing to see such an active interest on the part of the horse community in the younger horses of the breed. Complete results of the thirteen classes can be found in the Horse Show Results section of this issue. NOW AVAILABLE! The MACK MOTES Bit. A NEW idea in control and Bitting. Easy on Horse and Trainer.
