Now , horses can be protected against exposure with an entirely different , new equine influenza vaccine . Equi- Flu II , a unique combination product , contains both types A-l and A-2 equine strains plus four selected strains of human virus .
Equi-Flu II has been extensively field tested since 1963 — in track horses , on breeding farms and in private stables . In all cases , it demonstrated a high assurance of safety and effectiveness . Only a small 2 cc . dose is required — two injections the first year , one per year thereafter .
