1966-Voice Of The Tennessee Walking Horse 1966 October Voice RS | Page 44

THREE YEAR OLD WALKING STALLIONS
There were 72 entries in this class but after the dust settled it turned out to be BIG SHOT ' S T BIRD and Billy Brantley in the winners circle. Billy ' s horse is a big bold going stud who should be even more formidable in the vears to come. Tying reserve was Joe Webb and ' THE ENTERTAINER. Joe and his horse made a good show for all on hand. SUN UP R took J. W. Renfroe to the third tie with three consistent gaits. Brantley and Webb worked their horses to best advantages and made it a great show all the way.

MOON GLOW JR. and Burt Daughette put on a stunning exhibition for the fans as she swept to the first place ribbon over some outstanding entries. MOONGLOW looked like a contender for Grand Championship honors with this performance and had the crowd calling for more. Reserve went to BOMB ' S BALLY HOO and D ' Leese Williamson. D ' Leese and her horse are two tough campaigners who always tie near the top. Joe Wright and SUN ' S CELEBRATION were the third place choice of the judges in this class of 42 top horses.

OWNER AMATEUR LADY RIDERS ON WALKING HORSES CHAMPIONSHIP STAKE
MINT JULEP and Laura M. Brandon took the championship honors in this class of 13 top competitors. Laura and her horse worked hard for the top billing and it was well deserved. Second place went to SECOND TIME AROUND and Deedy Decker for their strong showing in tough competition. Mrs. C. M. Waters and SPUR ' S SUMMER DREAM were in the thick of the battle from start to finish in tying third. These riders showed their horses well and the judges had a hard time separating the top horses.
