CLASS 20 - TWO-YEAR-OLD WALKING GELDINGS
SPUNKY DAY, ridden by Jimmy Waddell
came to the front fast in this class. This
fancy colt was shown to perfection by
Jimmy and showed the finest of the
"Waddell touch” that has won him many
blues in two year old classes. Second was
HANDSHAKER AGAIN with another good
maker of two year olds, Douglas Wolaver
up. Coming in third after receiving the
top spot on Judge's Tally's card, was
Jimmy Holloway on MYSTERY'S FIREBALL.
Right down the line, these horses were a
good match and every winner had to
work hard to place in the money.

CLASS 22 - THREE-YEAR-OLD WALKING GELDINGS
Things got rough in this class when
MR. RUFF, with Larry Edwards up, took
off for the blue ribbon. Larry made a day
of it in getting the top spot on both
Judge Talley’s and Referee Bobo’s cards
to win the blue ribbon. Jimmy Holloway
was not far behind to tie second on
MERRY SECRET. This horse got stronger
and stronger as the class wore on and
made some real "aged horse" passes to
ward the end. SECRET'S HONEY BOY. with
Clarence Goodson up, was tied first on
Judge’s Hall's card and got enough strength
here to tie third in the class. Some real
future contenders were spoted throughout
this class.
