SPOTLIGHT THE ROSSLYN MATRIX We touched on it earlier when I had spent a half a year of my life in Rosslyn Chapel reverse engineering the building then a half year on discovery. The book examines overlooked architectural plans, revealing unobserved measurements and designs which underpin the myths. The book balances spiritual interpretations with functional reasoning. Later chapters offer a scientific study of a special carving on the crypt wall that was created from elements from various land, sea, space and time measuring systems. The results reveal the carving is both a treasure map and a mapping treasure. Q: What’s your dream adventure? If budgets weren’t a concern, if access was available and there was nothing stopping you, what would be your ultimate exploration? A: I would go to Cocos Island off Peru to a specific spot where the Treasure of Lima was hidden. Q: What’s next for Ashley Cowie? A: I’m working on a major historical series pilot that will be out in September and a 1-hour documentary based on Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson. I’ve actually found allusions to real life people and places that have been coded into Stephenson’s bestselling book. 14 Fall 2016 1961 Magazine
