Awesome Arts : Awesome Arts is MASC flagship community engaged arts program . In Fall 2019 , Awesome Arts Sandy Hill enjoyed its 8th edition with 100 workshops - slam poetry , animation , music , theatre and video - for over 200 children , youth , and seniors , culminating in a public celebration . Legacy projects include a 32- foot mural that was installed in the Viscount Alexander Public School gym , and a 4 ’ x6 ’ mural installed in a senior ’ s residence . The youth also created a powerful music video on the climate change available for viewing on our YouTube channel

Your Story : MASC Teen Authors & Illustrators Festival 6th edition was held in February 2020 and invited 100 students in Grades 8 – 12 with a deep interest in writing and illustration to a day of workshops , panel discussions and readings , with accomplished artists from across the country .
Due to the pandemic , the inaugural IllustrAuteurs was postponed , while Festival de danse en milieu scolaire , the MASC Young Authors and Illustrators Festival , and the MASC Arts Awards were unfortunately cancelled .
