AUTHOR'S COPY: the most interesting element in the copy present at John
Rylands Library (18661) is the illuminated coat of arms of the Barbaro family at leaf
A3r, which confirms that copy belonged to the author. Similar miniature are present
both on leaves A1 and A2.
The comparison between our dedication copy and author’s copy at JRL shows
numerous printing equalities, which undoubtedly confirmed how the two issue were
printed simultaneously.
A2: line 3 word VELO has a stronger impression compared with text block

B1r: all external section of the printing block is much more inked, giving the feeling
of being faded. This stronger inpression is much more eivdent on the verso

been not replaced on second issue
