Home Inspection Agreement Form At the request of: Address of Property for Sale: Parties desiring to purchase: Mr and Mrs Hopgood 115a Normandale Road As a condition of the sales agreement, a condition is the dwelling is inspected by a building inspector of your choice. Because we are all aware the negative impact a building inspection can have on a sale, or sales price, it is agreed by all parties involved, that certain testing standards will be met, in regards, to the inspection of the above dwelling. This is to protect the integrity of the inspection, and to ensure the home is not disadvantaged through poor equipment, or casual testing procedures, and so that the vendor, through their agent, is made aware of each exact location of any inspection failure, if any such area is found. It is agreed by all parties, that the purchasers inspector has a duty of care to the purchaser in this inspection, and does not have to supply a report, explanation or pictures to the vendor, or their agent, but agrees that in return for being able to ply their trade on the vendor's dwelling, that they will point out clearly any areas of high moisture readings, or building failure while onsite, and that the inspectors will record the reading they recorded in that area on this sheet. The vendor, and or their agent, will not question, slow down or impede the inspection process. The vendor, and or their agent, agree no questions will be asked of the inspector, while on site, other than having this form completed before the inspector leaves the site. If the Inspector and / or Inspection Company, are not prepared to agree to these conditions, it is agreed the inspector/s will refrain from inspecting this dwelling, and will not be allowed onto the premises, to test or comment on this home. 1.2 The inspector agrees to point out and mark the area of any moisture readings that are above 20% moisture content, if any such areas are discovered. These areas will be pointed out and marked as they are discovered in any areas are located. 1.2 The inspector agrees they will take environmental readings ( temperature and relative humidity ) at all areas tested for moisture content. If that is not possible the inspector will explain why this is not possible or not necessary below. 1.3 The inspector agrees to explain below, how they will test for moisture content in hard to reach areas of the ceiling, high windows, etc, if the inspector can not reach up to touch them with their equipment.
