Make the statement below and ask the group to call out the things they think will make them happy using the Best Life Topics on the screen ( or say them out loud and ask them to think of answers around each one ). Make sure you record what is said either by writing ideas on a whiteboard / flip chart paper or gathering in their ideas . Keep a record of what is written or take photos of the sheets and keep them — you will need these for session 10 at the end . You could ask the young people to photograph the lists on their phones if they have one ( and this is permitted / appropriate ) and ask them to keep them until the last week .

So , we have started to explore one of life ’ s most popular questions “ How can I be happy ?” Now we are going to discuss how you think you can achieve this .
I want you to imagine that you have been given the opportunity to design your perfect life ; your best life . You can have anything you want , change anything about yourself that you want and you can even keep things you already have that make you happy . In your list try to add things from these categories :

• Material things that you would like to possess
• Anything that would be really precious to you that are not possessions ( friends , health )
• Skills , talents or abilities you would like to have
• Achievements you would like to reach or dreams for the future
• Anything you would like to change about yourself / your life
Activity
Ask the group to choose the top 3 from their list that they think are most likely to make them happy , and the bottom 3 that are least likely to make them happy or are less important . Then ask them to feedback their responses and the reasons for their choices . End this activity by summing up with the script below
