Happiness Is ?

Section Aim
For participants to reflect and come up with their own definition of happiness .
Instructions
Hand out some pieces of paper and ask the group to come up with their own definition of happiness . As a prompt you can leave the definitions from slides 9 – 10 on the screen if you are using the PowerPoint or read them out again . Ask them to fold the pieces of paper in half , write their names on them and gather them all in . Pop them in an envelope and tell the group we will come back to these in our last session .

Happy All The Time

To highlight that we can ’ t be happy all the time , that sadness is part of life and that when we are feeling low it is important and helpful to talk to someone .
Instructions
In this section we will use emojis * to talk about different emotions . Start this activity by displaying the emojis on slide 15 , or get your group to draw as many different emojis on a large piece of flip chart paper . Once you have displayed the emojis work through the questions , script and power-point below .
