It may surprise you to know that there isn ’ t one simple definition of happiness , but here are some ideas :

Show the group some definitions of happiness on the screen . You could ask the group what they think about these definitions or which one best fits with what they think happiness is . Alternatively , print some of the definitions out and place them around the room and invite the group to go round and to stand by the definition they like the most .

As you can see there are lots of ways we can define happiness . At the end of the day it is quite a subjective ( personal ) experience as we all respond to life differently . However many of the definitions have a lot in common and point to happiness being a mixture of positive feelings and a sense of being content and satisfied with life . As we go through life we will all approach the search for happiness differently and we will get to know when we are happy or not . 10:10 provides an opportunity to improve our happiness by exploring the best ways to find it .

Happiness isn ’ t a final destination to arrive at — but about living a good life each day made up of positive experiences and actions .
