Albia Victorian Stroll
This annual event is one of the Monroe County community’ s most well-liked traditions, and will be held Dec. 5 in Albia’ s downtown square. Among the festivities are live Christmas card scenes in over 30 storefronts, carriage rides, live entertainment, holiday shopping and Victorian decor. Events last throughout the day, including a breakfast with Santa Claus, the lighting of Rudolph the Reindeer’ s nose and other many live events. Cornbelt Cow-Calf Conference / KIIC Farm Show
The event at the Bridge View Center in Ottumwa is one of the longest-running conferences of its kind in the Midwest. Held in January, the two-day conference allows producers, researchers and industry representatives to discuss important topics and issues in the agriculture community. There also is a one-day farm show presented by the Albia radio station that features guest speakers from various corners of the ag industry.
