Men and Lesbian Women who can do the same, if
given the opportunity.
Hip-hop has grown to become one of the great unifying
forces in the world, and is truly one of the most tolerant
of all art forms; crossing all kinds of boundaries: from
gender to race to economic standing to language to
religion and so on. What do you think it would or will
take for battle rap and hip-hop culture on the whole
to show a heightened sense of tolerance to the LGBT
community? Do you think we’ll see this in the near
future? Do you think we’ll see this within our lifetimes?
Well, this is actually something which I have been
pursuing for a longtime.. As a Lesbian Artist. I feel
its apart of my calling to build a heightened sense
of not just tolerance but acknowledgement and
respect to the LGBTQ Community.. I’ve been a
Social Activist for many years, I’ve met with Mayor
Bloomberg to pass a bill for the protection of Gay
and Lesbian Students. I’ve met with our Legislators
in Albany to hear them tell us face to face how
they will protect and represent LGBT youth, before
we voted for them.. So I’ve always been active in
fighting for the rights of my community.. That is
no different in HIP HOP. It takes a bold, fearless
approach to change and diversity.. There are many
passionate and courageous individuals such as
myself, and as long as there are,. The sky is the
limit.. And with all the support and love I receive
it becomes clear to me everyday, that my purpose
is being served... I have straight thug ass fans,
housewife fans, butch fans, fem lesbian fans, white
college fans, old fans, young fans...The Learning
Experiences, Opportunities, and People I’ve met
along the way, has shown me, the world is more
ready for a ‘K.Prophet’ more Now than Ever and
It surprises me sometimes how many people relate
to me, an AG from QueensBridge NY that I would
never expect to a day in my life.. It goes to show,
its not about your sexual preference, your clothing
choice or none of that irrelevant shit..Bottom line
is-” When your soul is real.those who sustain the
