line between facts and opinions as well as opinions and hating ...Fact - There are MC's with bigger and better resumes than alot of the "Top Tier"but why aren’t they top tier? I really want your answer lol. 100 Bars: Politics! Lol Hazey: EXACTLY but I’m not gone dwell on it ... If your successful , more power to you , you know .... 100 Bars: Me personally I would like to see a person like Swave Sevah get more big name battles, and I cant understand why he does not, for the sake of the sport, and its not like the fans don’t want to see him battle but I guess the powers that be would take two more popular people instead to sell tickets which makes sense on the business side.. Hazey: Shout Out to Swave Sevah man! I think MC's like swave sevah who's resume and skill set say "Hey I’m obviously top tier" are stuck in limbo The Top Tier crutch keeps Mc's of his caliber from battling him. "There Scared" lol 100 Bars: Describe your style Hazey: Unorthodox, If you took all my work and compared it,my style changes in some fashion every 2 battles or so..... The Manny Pacquio of battle rap man, yeah I Can lose but you cant really prep for my style ... I do it all ... All I have to do is it all at a higher level. 100 Bars: How did you come up with your "That’s a Setup" Scheme? Do you think battlers having a certain tag line or routine within there bars are gimmicky?
Hazey: "That’s A Set Up" actually came about as a inside joke... I’m a BIG fan of criticism and fans of the rapid punch type of style would say your bars or too drawn out to the punch lol thus the "Set Up" was born naw that’s a set up lol. I’m waiting for some 1 to break down the science in how I write those. There is 1 but the world may never know. To answer the 2nd part of your question NO .. I don’t think tag lines are corny. They add more to the Artist personality and bring the show we put on to life. I actually commend the MC's who have dope tags. Its the other 4000 MC's with weak ones that over do it. 100 Bars: Whats was your All time favorite battle on wax? Hazey: 40 Cal vs. Cardi, def 40 cal vs. Cardi. I don’t see alot of people talk about these battles but I know alot of MC's either came up watching them or were actually present for them lol. You know alot of battle rappers older than they look man lol. 100 Bars: Whats the battle scene like in Connecticut? Hazey: The battle scene in CT is eye opening,Having a league as new as iBattle shed lights on the K. Kendles The Cityy Towers So on & so forth is refreshing to me ...I built my name out of town I didn’t have a outlet when I started , I glad to see the outlet is there now and putting together classics such as Daylyt vs. Lotta Zay. 100 Bars: Your first appearance to the masses was on Shark tank in Boston?
Hazey: To the masses yes, It was my 3rd battle chronologically but the 1 prior to my shark tank debut was hosted by Hollow Da Don & Cortez,They showed alot of love man ...sort of introduced me to some of there fan base before I was able to build my own. 100 Bars: You battled Archie Stacks in STL what was that crowd like compared to a east coast crowd? Hazey: You know looking at that footage alot of MC's a say oh they ain’t get the bars or they was hating blah blah The crowd was great lol Every crowd is the same to me man , just feed them material they can relate too and feel. That’s the come up of battling on the road from jump street. I’m comfortable any and every where. 100 Bars: What was your strategy for Archie Stacks? Hazey: DIDN’T HAVE 1. That battle had nothing to do with Archie Stacks, at least in my world. It was just a platform to show case something new and see how the public perceives it. That’s A Set Up. 100 Bars: How did you prepare for Nuborn on iBattle? Hazey: Mannnn. Preparing for Born was a headache. He had no new footage out but I new he was a completely different animal because I saw him vs. Dirt on PG's. I approached that battle with the mind set that I’m not going to out bar nuborn so lets make less equal more and hope my material hits harder than his. Basically Nuborn (General Bars) vs. Hazey (Personals)
