CREMONA’ S NEW

Some more northerly parts of Italy were redrawn onto the WorldSBK map in 2024, when Cremona first joined the WorldSBK campaign trail- thanks to the ambition and investment that is clearly evident at this truly stadium-style race facility. Here’ s how it looks from the saddle, according to two local stars.

T1

T1 is the best corner of all according to GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team rider Stefano Manzi. He knows a bit about going fast at Cremona, of course, having won two WorldSSP races here last year … and one of the two races in 2024.“ The most challenging and the most enjoyable corner is T1,” said Stefano.“ A fast left-hander where you need to carry speed and be quick as much as you can, in order also to prepare the rest of the circuit and the lap. You have to be very focused and precise to carry as much speed as you can. The fact it’ s a fast one also makes it enjoyable because it has a nice flow.”

T2 – T3
QJMOTOR Factory Racing pilot, and long-time WorldSSP competitor, Raffaele De Rosa, says that T2-T3 is the trickiest section of all.“ T2 is very slow but you arrive at high speed so you push the front a lot,” said Raffaele.“ T3 is completely the reverse. You need to have more speed in the corner, and you need the bike to be easy to turn so that you can do the next section better.”

T4 – T6
Inside the very heart of this true stadium-style circuit, T4 is a 90 ° right, and a bit wider than T2 or T3. The‘ Quadra’ T5 corner is a short right kink, then there’ s a more significant right, before a long- and again kinked- approach to T7. Cremona sits on a compact area of real estate, so it features some interesting nuances like this.
